Purpose Driven Missions
This video produced by Saddle Back church is quite telling. Here are three pictures from the video that show the Purpose Driven 'missionaries' using the new revelation to make converts, but not the Bible.

Notice that the evangelism effort does not include the Bible. This video is around 6 minutes long. Not one time will you see the Bible in this video, but many times you will see the Purpose Driven Life book being used to convert those in Argentina to the Rick Warren method of religion. It is also ironic one of the songs in this video is John Lennon's 'Imagine' where the lyrics say, "Imagine there was no religion". At least they had the decency to start the song right after the previous verse that says, "Imagine there is no heaven...above is only sky". The Purpose Driven mantra claims that they are not religious by trying to set themselves apart from other religious groups, but if you take away the scriptures and use only material produced by the organization, have you eliminated religion? Or have you just begun a new religion?
Count how many times you see the Bible in this mission trip.

Amen. Any mission trip that is not based on the word of God, is not of God. Good deeds may open the door to evangelism, but good deeds alone cannot save our souls nor the souls of those we are supposed to be reaching. A true God-sent missionary will not try to convert people to their organization, but will try to make them a disciple of Jesus Christ. We are not disciples of Rick Warren or a Purpose Driven movement, but disciples of Jesus Christ - if we have indeed received Christ. There is a new vision that calls man to a new religion contrary to Christ that the Bible foretold would take over the church in the last days.
