Does God Demand Worship – Chapter 17

Lesson 17 is the final video in this series. We are going to look at what the Bible teaches about worship. Many falsely believe that God demands worship, and if we don’t show Him enough adoration, God will be angry or disappointed. Worship is the natural response of our heart once we see the magnatude of the love He has given to us, the the power of grace in our lives. Once we learn how to receive the love of God, and have eyes of faith to see what He has done for us, our hearts will be drawn into worship. Worship isn’t your gift to God, but a response to the work of God given to you.

Does God Demand Love – Lesson 16

This study covers chapter 16 of Weakness is Your Greatest Strength. Does God demand that people love Him? Why did Jesus tell the legalist that he must love God with 100% of his heart, mind, soul, and strength? This portion of study explains that this is a misunderstanding of scripture, and how love is God’s gift to us. The evidence that we are receiving God’s love is that love begins emerging from our lives. We’ll explore the contrast between the musunderstood belief that we MUST love God with all our heart, and the Bible’s teaching that “It’s not that we love God, but that He first loved us” (1 John 4:10).

Shadow Boxing – Lesson 15

This study covers chapter 15 of Weakness is Your Greatest Strength. We are never told to fight against sin and darkness. Darkness is merely the absence of light. Sin is the absence of the power of righteousness – which is a gift from God. Instead of shadow boxing against sin, we are called to walk in the power we have already been given. Walk in the Spirit and you won’t have the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16). Raging against the darkness will never accomplish anything. Yet we have the power to turn on the light, and sin is defeated.

What About Sin – Lesson 13

Critics of the Gospel of Grace claim that it teaches people that it’s okay to sin. This study explains the truth about how the New Covenant addresses sin, and why grace is actually the only way to overcome sin. We don’t need rules, but growth. Instead of fighting temptation, spiritual maturity is how we begin outgrowing sin.
