The Victory of Defeat – Lesson 11

Chapter 11 of the book, Weakness is Your Greatest Strength.

This study looks at examples from scripture of people who failed miserably, but discovered that their failure put them into the position of success. Once they fell short, it became the opportunity to discover that true power comes from God. When we think God is disappointed or angry, the truth is that God is preparing us to receive His work in us, but that experience can only happen when self-effort is out of the way.

The Veil is Torn – Lesson 10

Chapter 10 of Weakness is Your Greatest Strength.

This study looks at how God torn the veil of the temple to expose the holiest place of God to every person, including sinners. Once Christ died to take away sin, there is now no barrier between us and God, and we can freely come to Him without the fear of sin, and without the fear of His anger.

Dismantling Doubts – Lesson 9

Covers chapter 9.

This lesson looks at some of the problem scriptures that cause people to doubt their relationship with God. What does the Bible mean when it says, if someone sins willfully, there remains no more sacrifice for sin? Or if someone falls away, it’s not possible to be renewed again to repentance? These scriptures are often misused to overthrow the faith of Christians, but if we examine the context and the purpose of these passages, it is quite the opposite of what people are often taught. These were intended to instruct, offer hope, and establish our confidence in Christ. It is not a message of condemnation.
