Chapter 9. Final chapter in this study. This study looks at the covenant of grace and how it is not dependent upon you or I. The covenant is between God and Himself, and when we enter by faith, we become the beneficiary of the covenant. We are given a picture of this when God made a covenant with Abraham, but did not allow Abraham to take the oath, but he and his descendants received the promise. The oath was between God and Himself through Christ, but the promise was to Abraham. The New Covenant of the New Testament includes all who will enter by faith, but God remains the sole guarantor of the covenant.
